Haynes and Jeffries “Swifsure” 1876
This early “open head” style high wheel bicycle has buffalo horn handlebar grips and bronze headset bearings. The wheels are made true by tightening nipples to the front hub. Note the rear wheel brake- a left over from the velocipede.
