Bike donations are essential to our Everybody Bikes program, Kids Bike Bonanzas, and Youth Shop. The refurbished bikes that are sold through our shop are available to Everybody Bikes customers at significant discounts, and revenue from both our retail shop and eBay store support Old Spokes Home's mission, educational and social justice programming.
All donations to Old Spokes Home are tax-deductible. If you would like a donation receipt, please ask for one when donating.
We accept bikes that are in rideable or very nearly rideable condition and/or good quality bikes and parts. With your bike, we suggest $5-10 donation to help us provide bicycles and repair services to all Vermonters through our Everybody Bikes program.
We do not accept ebike donations. Many ebike batteries can be disposed of through call2recycle, or through Chittenden Solid Waste District.
Donations can be dropped off during business hours.
If you are donating 5 or more bicycles, please call us ahead of time. (802) 863-4475.
Volunteers are a vital part of OSH's mission delivery, helping us fix bikes, sort parts, support events, and assist with special projects. All are welcome at our weekly drop-in volunteer nights on Tuesday from 5-7 pm. City Market members can volunteer at Old Spokes Home to earn member worker credit!
