Hey Fundo participants and supporters!
We're so happy to have you as participants this year in our biggest annual fundraiser ride! The 2023 Fall Fundo is looking like it's gonna be a great one. Since you're all working so hard to support us, we thought the right thing to do would be to show some love back to you. That's why we've put together a package of incentives and prizes that are available to folks who help us raise money towards our goal of $35,000!
Anyone who raises over $30 (in addition to their registration fee) will get to take home a commemorative poster celebrating the 2023 Fall Fundo. Sammie van Gerbig, our eBay extraordinaire and in-house graphic designer, drew up a fun graphic of our iconic wool jersey that will look great on the wall in your home, workshop, dorm room, or wherever. We love event posters over here; it's nice to have a regular reminder of good times and special experiences — of which you'll definitely have a couple at the Fall Fundo!
Our top 50 overall fundraising-individuals will each earn a Snow Tour neck warmer from Skida! Skida kindly donated a variety of prints, ranging from bright and floral to muted and low-key. The Snow Tour is a great way to keep your neck, chin and ears warm on colder rides post-Fundo. A safe goal to end up in that top 50 fundraisers and take home a new Skida Snow Tour? Try to raise $150!
Top fundraisers are eligible for the GRAND PRIZES:
The top-fundraising individual will take home a $200 gift card to Old Spokes Home, along with one of our tee shirts and shop-branded water bottles. Get your bike tuned up, snag a new accessory or two, and show the world that you believe in bike access for all!
The team who raises the most dollars will earn an open session* in our Community Workshop with support from Old Spokes Home staff. Bring your crew (up to 6 people) and their bikes, and we'll provide the space, the tools, and whatever guidance you need to tune up, upgrade, or customize your rides in the ways that you want! Oh yeah, we'll provide pizza too.
Teams and individuals are also entered in our RAFFLE** — every $10 raised by an individual or a team counts as one entry into the respective team or individual raffle. In other words, raising $35 would earn an individual or team three raffle entries; raising $449 would earn 44 entries. Raffle winners, team and individual, will be awarded carbon copies of the grand prizes: for individuals, a $200 gift card, OSH tee shirt and water bottle; for teams, a guided maintenance session and pizza night in the Community Workshop!
**An Open Shop session is to be defined as: two (2) hours of access to our Community Workshop space; access to all tools that attendees are able to use properly and responsibly; guidance and support from up to two (2) Old Spokes Home staffers with relevant mechanical experience; and pizza for up to six. Parts not included.
**Raffle winners will be randomly selected and announced on the Friday following the 2023 Fall Fundo. Team prizes will scheduled via communication with the winning team’s captain or a representative appointed by the team captain. Open Shop night must be scheduled within the 6 months following the 2023 Fall Fundo (no later than April 7, 2024). Scheduling is dependent on availability of staff and the Community Workshop space.
